Jeffrey R. Kern

Our Senior Appraiser is Jeffrey R. Kern, a tested and re-certified senior member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and is a certified general appraiser in numerous states. Jeff has taught appraisal and assessment courses to professionals requiring continuing education credits.  He is a member of the American Institute of Mineral Appraisers, the International Association of Assessing Officers, a member of the Board of the International Mineral Economics and Management Society, the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers, and has been certified in Pennsylvania as an ad valorem property tax evaluator.  

 

David M. Falkenstern

Mr. Falkenstern is a Registered Professional Geologist with over 10 years experience assisting with the valuation of coal and aggregate mining operations and reserve properties. Mr. Falkenstern specializes in mineral pricing, market review and reviewing mining plans. He also develops large scale mineral valuation programs using Geographic Information Systems to link mineral market conditions, mineral quality and environmental concerns.

RTC has specialized in the appraisal of mineral, mining, mineral processing, industrial, and unique assets for more than 35 years.  

In addition to the completion of continuing education programs by all our staff, the signatory appraiser is competent to undertake this assignment by virtue of prior experience in the valuation of this type of real estate and business. Jeff Kern is a senior member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), former member of the Governing Board of the International Mineral Economics and Management Society, a certified member of the International Institute of Mineral Appraisers (CMA), a member of the Society of Mining Engineers, and a member of the International Association of Assessing Officers. He has written textbook materials on the appraisal of industrial and energy mineral assets and industrial mineral operations. 

The appraiser is licensed as a Certified General Appraiser in numerous states including:
